Senior Renters Group Co-ordinator
£12 per hour
(flexible hours according to the work to be undertaken which we anticipate will need
an average of half a day a week)
We are looking for someone to co-ordinate our Senior Renters Group for up to one year.
Our aim is to engage more older private tenants in our work, to combat loneliness and social isolation; to strengthen the voice of older renters and influence policies, including making London an age-friendly city.
The work can be undertaken at times to suit the co-ordinator, and tasks involving e-communications can be done from home if preferred.
We anticipate that the amount of time needed for this work will average a half-day a week.
Tasks involved include
Servicing the Senior Renters Group
- organising monthly meetings, emailing notice of meetings topics for discussion
- making and sharing notes of each meeting
Publicising the Group and increasing attendance
- producing publicity leaflets and posters
- contacting individual renters and liaising with our mentors to encourage attendance
Arranging activities for the Group
- trips out
- fundraising events
- working with our Story Telling Group facilitator
Other tasks that may be proposed by members of the Group.
