Standing up for renters
We are grateful for your support
Your help is invaluable.
There are now 2.5 million private tenants in London and rents are more than twice the average for England, while the cap on welfare benefits is leading to huge rent shortfalls, sometimes as much as £100 a week. Not surprising then, that private renters in poverty have increased from 447,500 in 2006 to 962,000 today.
Advice4Renters works hard to obtain grants to replace the cuts in legal aid, but while the number of vulnerable private tenants continues to grow, your help is needed now more than ever.
- £10 would enable us to produce and distribute 5,000 advice leaflets
- £30 would help us to recruit and train a new batch of volunteer mentors
- £150 would cover the cost of our advice to prevent one family becoming homeless
So please dig deep, in the cause of justice for vulnerable private renters… your help is invaluable.
Thank you very much
