We’ve been planning our website since the end of last year, with an agreed launch in the first week of April to welcome the Spring and a season of new beginnings.
We worked hard to stick to our timetable, and I’d like to thank Caroline Somer and her dedicated design team for working with us so efficiently to make it happen. Little did we think that we would be launching in the middle of an unprecedented national emergency. However COVID-19 has demonstrated just how important online communications are, and we are therefore pleased that our new website will play a role in getting information to private renters and others in housing need at this time.
Our trustees and our staff team have all been consulted on the development of the site, and we are pleased with it, although the ‘lockdown’ meant we had to switch to home working before we could add the final touches with more pictures of the team in our normal environment, to give you a flavour of how we work. These will be added when normal life resumes. We’ve been especially mindful that many tenants will be accessing the site on their mobile ‘phones, so we’ve tried to make is as user friendly as possible for mobiles.
Like everything A4R does, we are constantly looking to improve, and the most important views about the website are not our own but those who visit our site.
So we’d really like to hear from you. Please tell us what you like, and whether it’s easy to find the information you are looking for. Tell us about anything that you might find frustrating, and above all, tell us what you would like to see on the website that isn’t there at the moment.
We want the site to be a source of information and help, as well as a place for inspiration and hope. Somewhere that offers opportunities for active participation and a place that triggers fresh ideas.
A very warm welcome to all who visit the site.
