Advice4Renters is governed by a board of Trustees, who come from a background of different professions and industries:
George Bangham – an economic researcher at the Resolution Foundation, a London-based think-tank that carries out research and policy analysis to improve the living standards of people in the UK on low and middle incomes.
Ilias Efessios – an international and versatile entrepreneurial manager/business leader with extensive experience in SMEs active in a variety of fields: service industry, manufacturing, international trade, consultancy, wine. He has comprehensive experience in all phases of business including start-up, growth, crisis and turn-around; a strategic thinker but also hands-on, able to contribute at any level as required.
Robert Johnson – is a Councillor for Northwick Park ward of Brent Council. He has worked in Trade and Industry Department for nearly ten years in a range of sections – Companies Registration, Patents, Trademarks, Insolvency Service, Trade Fairs and Promotions and the Top Level Organisation (Ministers Office). He has worked for Islington, Camden and Brent Councils. He also is very community-oriented having taken on various Community roles and is well known within the Community of Brent.
John Kwan – a solicitor with Messrs Clearly Gottlieb LLP specialising in EU and UK antitrust and competition law and litigation. He advises on merger control, anti-competitive agreements, cartels, abuse of dominance and public procurement, and has represented clients in proceedings before the Competition Appeal Tribunal, the High Court, and the Court of Appeal. He also has experience of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions and international financing transactions.
Helen Mangan – an experienced charity sector professional with over 8 years of experience in the charity sector in both paid employment and volunteer positions. She has strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and funders ranging from major donors and trusts to individual supporters.
Jermaine Ranger – an experienced marketing professional who has worked for one of Birmingham’s most highly respected law firms as a Marketing Manager. His marketing background includes strategic and tactical roles in leisure, sports, education and consulting social enterprises organisations. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Chartered Marketer.
Susan Waller – an experienced strategic housing manager who has worked for housing departments both in London and Stevenage.
